Everything you need to know about the MUNICIPAL SUMMER TALKS, how to get there and where to stay.
Would you like to participate in the MUNICIPAL SUMMER TALKS in Bad Aussee? Please register via our registration form. We have reserved rooms for our guests in various hotels in Ausseerland, and you are welcome to make your selection.
All of the hotels listed are served by our shuttle buses. You will not need a personal vehicle on site. Should you require a shuttle bus from your point of arrival/departure, we have fixed times at which we would be happy to take you.

The journey. How to get there.
Did you know that Bad Aussee is the geographical centre of Austria? The picturesque town in Ausseerland can be reached in various ways, as described below. Please let us know which mode of transport you will be using and where you are travelling from when you register. We will calculate and compensate the carbon emissions generated by all participants via Climate Austria.
The train will take you straight to Bad Aussee (Bahnhofstraße 61, 8990 Bad Aussee). Coming on the western line (Vienna or Salzburg), please change trains in Attnang-Puchheim. If you are coming from the south, you will need to change trains in Stainach-Irdning. We will also serve the main station in Salzburg at set times. Please refer to our Shuttle Overview for the timetable during your register process.
Coming from Vienna, you can take either the A2 (Südautobahn), the S6 (Semmering Schnellstraße) or the A9 (towards Salzburg), Liezen, Trautenfels (junction). Alternatively, you can take the A1 (Westautobahn) and exit at Regau, then drive through Gmunden, Ebensee, Bad Ischl and Bad Goisern. Both routes will take you about 2½ hours. From Salzburg, the fastest route is via the B158 through Hof, Fuschl am See, Bad Ischl and Bad Goisern (1½-hour drive). Here you can find the car parking map for Bad Aussee.
The closest airports are Salzburg (Wolfgang Amadeus | 1½-hour drive to Bad Aussee), Munich (Franz Josef Strauß | 3½-hour drive) and Vienna (Schwechat | 3¼-hour drive). We also serve the airports at set times. Please refer to our Shuttle Overview for the timetable during your register process.

Your accommodation.
The Ausseerland has numerous hotels where we have reserved rooms for our guests. Please select your preferred hotel. All listed accommodations – from Bad Mitterndorf, Bad Aussee, Grundlsee to Altaussee – are served by our shuttle buses. You will not require a car for the event in Bad Aussee.
The location. In the centre of Bad Aussee.
The Kur- & Congresshaus in Bad Aussee is accessible and equipped with modern technology and air conditioning. The various rooms enable us to run several programme items in parallel and can also serve as a retreat for networking or private conversations.
Parking is limited to paid short-term parking around the Kurhaus (max. 2 hours). Please use the signposted parking areas in the immediate vicinity if you are travelling independently (€0.50 per ½ hour).

The MUNICIPAL SUMMER TALKS will take place at the Kur- & Congresshaus Bad Aussee (Kurhausplatz 144, 8990 Bad Aussee). On Thursday, we will spend the evening at the Blaa Alm (Lichtersberg 73, 8992 Altaussee). Please use our shuttle buses to access this location, as access isn’t easy and parking is limited.

We have reserved at several hotels in different price ranges for the event. You will be able to book your hotel as part of the event registration process. You are also welcome to book accommodation elsewhere, if you wish. However, please note that our shuttle buses will only serve the listed hotels.
Please inform your hotel of your expected time of arrival. Depending on the hotel, reception may be open at all times or your key may be deposited for you.
We recommend parking your car at your hotel. Please use our shuttle buses to travel between your hotel and the event location. Parking is limited both around the Kurhaus (paid short-term parking) and at the Blaa Alm.
Please inform the organisation via email so we can take this into account in our planning. Please also inform your hotel to avoid incurring any additional costs. We can refund the registration fee for the MUNICIPAL SUMMER TALKS in the event of timely cancellation.
You will receive an invoice for your bookkeeping after registration. Please include all relevant data that you wish to appear on your invoice during registration.
Please visit the InfoCorner in the Kur- & Congresshaus during the event. They will provide you with a confirmation.
Business Casual, you are welcome to wear a traditional costume (Tracht) to our event at the Blaa Alm. Please note that the weather and temperatures can change very rapidly in Ausseerland and you should select suitable shoes for non-paved paths.
